The Château Rauzan-Ségla vineyard stretches across gravel and sandy soils, typical of the Margaux appellation. These well-drained soils allow for optimal grape ripening, resulting in wines with a unique aromatic richness. Sustainable farming practices on the estate promote biodiversity and ecosystem balance. The vines, averaging 30 years old, benefit from a temperate oceanic climate, ideal for developing complex aromas. Each plot is meticulously cultivated, guaranteeing impeccable grape quality.

    Owner and history

Château Rauzan-Ségla is now owned by the Carle and de Luze families, who have successfully combined respect for heritage with innovation. Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Ségla 2019 is carried out with the utmost care. After a manual harvest, the grapes are rigorously sorted to retain only the very best. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromas. Aging in oak barrels, some of which are new, refines the wine, imparting delicate woody notes. This winemaking process, combining tradition and modernity, results in a wine of great complexity, ready to develop further with age.
