Producer

The vineyard of Château Lafleur The vineyards extend across clay-gravel soils, ideal for cultivating noble grape varieties. The vines, some decades old, are carefully tended, respecting traditional winemaking methods. The proximity of the Dordogne River and the diverse microclimates of Pomerol give the grapes exceptional ripeness and a unique aromatic concentration. Yields are deliberately limited to guarantee the quality of the grapes, resulting in wines of great complexity and rare elegance.

Owner and history

Today, the Château Lafleur is run by the Guinaudeau family, who have managed to preserve the family heritage while bringing a contemporary vision to the management of the domaine. Their commitment to sustainable viticulture and their passion for wine are reflected in every bottle produced. By investing in modern techniques while respecting traditions, they continue to elevate the Château Lafleur among the greatest names in Pomerol, making each vintage a work of art to be savored.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Lafleur It is a meticulous process that respects the fruit. The harvest is done by hand, allowing for the selection of only the healthiest and ripest grapes. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, promoting a gentle extraction of tannins. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart a subtle touch of oak influence without masking the terroir. This care taken at each stage of production contributes to the creation of wines of great finesse and excellent aging potential.
