Owner and history

Andrée Trapet is Alsatian, a woman of the land and a winemaker, and in 2002, she decided to continue her parents' work in the Alsatian vineyards, a region with a distinct character and accent. From the outset, she believed biodynamic farming to be the essential and only way for her terroir and vines to flourish. Since then, the vineyard has expanded and now encompasses four of the most renowned Grand Cru vineyards: Sonnenglanz, Schoenenbourg, Sporen, and Schlossberg, as well as numerous magnificent lieux-dits (named vineyard sites) in the villages of Kientzheim, Ammerschwihr, Riquewihr, Mittelwihr, Zellenberg, Hunawihr, and, of course, Beblenheim.

Vinification and aging

Vineyard management using high stakes, plots undergoing re-densification, adapted winemaking containers, Pierre and Louis Trapet continue to guide the grapes to achieve the purest possible expression, while adapting to climatic issues.
