THE Grand Cru Blanchots is one of the most prestigious vineyard sites in Chablis. It benefits from ideal exposure and Kimmeridgian soil, rich in marine fossils, which gives the wines their characteristic minerality. The Blanchots terroir is renowned for producing full-bodied, rich, and complex wines with excellent aging potential. Domaine Long-Depaquit takes particular care in cultivating its vines, in order to best express the potential of this exceptional terroir. (Not disclosed.)

Owner and history

THE Domaine Long-Depaquit is owned by Albert Bichot, a family-run Burgundy wine merchant founded in 1831. The Bichot family is passionate about Burgundy and committed to producing quality wines that respect the terroir. They have preserved the identity and expertise of the Domaine Long-Depaquit, while bringing a modern and innovative vision. Not disclosed.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Long-Depaquit is crafted with meticulous precision, aiming to preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and then vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Aging takes place partly in French oak barrels, with a limited percentage of new oak to avoid masking the wine's character. Particular attention is paid to each stage of the process to obtain a wine of great finesse and excellent aging potential. Not disclosed.
