Le Terroir : L'Élégance de l'Altitude Le climat "Les Chalumeaux" est situé à la limite de Meursault, juste en dessous du hameau de Blagny. Géologie : Le sol est ici très pierreux, avec une fine couche d'argile sur une dalle calcaire compacte. Exposition : Les vignes de la Comtesse de Cherisey sur ce cru sont très âgées (certaines plantées en 1945), ce qui apporte une profondeur et une concentration naturelles que de jeunes vignes ne peuvent offrir.

Le domaine, dirigé par Laurent Martelet et son épouse Hélène (descendante de la Comtesse de Cherisey), est installé à Blagny, un hameau niché en altitude au-dessus de Meursault et Puligny. C'est l'un des secrets les mieux gardés des amateurs de grands blancs de Bourgogne. Incarnant la sixième génération, Hélène et Laurent Martelet orchestrent avec rigueur la mise en œuvre des interventions nécessaires à la révélation des terroirs d’exception du Hameau de Blagny. Passionnée par la nature et amoureuse du travail à l’extérieur, l’équipe du Domaine Comtesse de Cherisey se consacre chaque jour à un travail méticuleux dans le plus strict respect de la vigne et de son écosystème. Jardinière du domaine, elle met en œuvre les sciences incontournables de l’agrobiologie.

Le domaine COMTESSE de CHÉRISEY tente de préserver la biodiversité animale et végétale qui l’entoure. Le passage à l’agriculture biologique, l’enherbement naturel de certaines parcelles, l’investissement en forêt, la restauration des murs en pierres sèches, la protection et la plantation d’arbres et arbustes sont autant d’actions concourantes à un mieux vivre demain.
