    Description

THE Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse Heirs) is one of the most sought-after gems of Saint-Émilion. In the 2021 vintage, the estate confirms its precise and elegant style, despite the year's climatic challenges.
2021 marks a return to a more "classic" and Loire Valley style in Bordeaux, a far cry from the sun-drenched vintages of the past. It's a wine that focuses on... freshness, there tension and a saline structure, rather than based on alcoholic strength.

    Owner and history

This precious 6.75-hectare vineyard is divided into two distinct terroirs. Its limestone soil is favored by Cabernet Franc (16%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%), allowing them to express their tension and vigor. The vineyard's flagship grape variety is Merlot (81%), grown in clay soil. It achieves a beautiful balance between density and freshness.

    Vinification and aging

The harvest is done by hand. Vinification takes place plot by plot. Aging lasts between 16 and 18 months in the cellars of the château.
