Prunotto's Barbaresco comes from carefully selected vineyards in the Barbaresco region. The terroir of this appellation is characterized by limestone and clay soils, which give the wines remarkable structure and complexity. climat The climate is continental, with hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters. These climatic conditions promote slow and even ripening of the grapes, resulting in high-quality red wines. The vineyard's exposure is also a key factor, allowing for optimal sun exposure and ensuring the grapes reach their full potential. (Not disclosed.)

    Owner and history

THE domaine Prunotto belongs to the family Antinori Since 1989. This illustrious Tuscan family, with over 600 years of winemaking history, has preserved the identity and know-how of Prunotto, while contributing its own expertise and resources. The family Antinori is deeply committed to the quality and authenticity of Italian wines. It is dedicated to producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of each appellation, respecting the environment and traditions. Not disclosed.

    Vinification and aging

The vinification of Prunotto's Barbaresco is carried out with the utmost care, respecting ancestral traditions. The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, then destemmed and gently crushed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature, for a specific period. Maceration is then extended to extract aromas and tannins from the grape skins. Aging occurs in oak barrels for a period that varies depending on the vintage. This stage allows the tannins to soften and the aromas of the red wine to develop greater complexity. (Not disclosed.)
