Hailing from a prominent Bordeaux wine family, this man is a true maestro who manages the Château with warmth, precision, and exacting standards. The harvest is spread out over time by

• successive tries
• The goal is to cut a grape that offers an optimum of juice and sugar. This quest for perfection is so risky that ten vintages have not been produced since 1910, the most recent being 2012.

In addition to its grand vin, the estate also offers a unique cuvée: theY d'YquemThis dry white wine, made from the same vines as Château d'Yquem, offers a modern and bold interpretation of the terroir. Crafted from a specific harvest, it harmoniously blends the two emblematic grape varieties of Sauternes, theSémillonand theSauvignon Blanc, in a blend that reflects freshness, finesse and Sauternes identity.
