The vineyard de Beaucastel benefits from an exceptional terroir, characterized by the presence of rolled pebbles, typical of the appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape. These pebbles absorb the sun's heat during the day and release it at night, thus promoting optimal grape ripening. The soil is composed of a mixture of sand, clay, and limestone, offering ideal drainage and a wide variety of nutrients for the vines. climat is of the Mediterranean type, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, influenced by the mistral, a powerful wind that cleanses the vineyard.
