A historical link with America
The story of domaine is marked by an illustrious figure: Thomas JeffersonÉtienne Parent, the family's ancestor, was a friend and wine advisor to the future President of the United States during his time in France in the late 18th century. This historical connection has forged the international reputation of the domaine very early.
Pommard: The Terroir of Choice
Although the domaine owns vineyards in several appellations, its heart beats at Pommard.

Parent style: Traditionally, Pommard wines are known for being "masculine," full-bodied, and sometimes austere in their youth. Anne Parent has managed to evolve this style towards a more... finesse, silkiness and the radiance of the fruit, without losing any of the legendary aging potential of the appellation.

THE Grand Cru : THE domaine owns a mythical plot in Corton Grand Cru "The Foxes", a wine of wild depth and complexity.
Philosophy: Bio and Precision
Under the leadership of Anne Parent, the domaine adopted a very rigorous approach:

Organic Farming: THE domaine has been certified organic (Ecocert) since 2013, with practices close to biodynamics to promote soil life.

Winemaking: A rigorous sorting of the grapes is carried out (sometimes berry by berry). The use of new oak is very precise, seeking to support the structure without ever masking the identity of the terroir.
The Major Vintages
THE domaine manages approximately 10 hectares of vineyards, including flagship vineyards such as:

Pommard 1er Cru "Les Épenots": Often considered the "almost Grand Cru"Pommard. It is a wine of great nobility, rich and velvety.

Pommard 1er Cru "Les Chaponnières": Located just below Épenots, it offers denser and deeper wines.

Ladoix 1er Cru "The Chore": Excellent value for money, often more floral and available earlier.
THE Domaine Parent is the perfect example of Burgundy successfully transforming itself: respecting an immense family heritage while refining extractions to produce wines that are more digestible, more vibrant and terribly precise.
