              An exceptional organic vineyard

A privileged terroir for expressive wines

The vineyard ofChâteau du SeuilIt stretches across the foothills of the Trévaresse mountain, within the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation. Bathed in sunshine and swept by the mistral wind, the estate benefits from a microclimate ideal for producing fine, balanced wines. The soils, predominantly clay-limestone and gravelly, impart structure and freshness to the wines, while also fostering a beautiful aromatic complexity.

The domain is certified inorganic farminga fundamental choice for the familyDaussunThis approach respects not only the environment but also the unique character of the terroir. No herbicides or chemicals are used; tilling the soil, natural treatments, and careful observation of the vines are favored. The organic conversion, initiated upon acquisition in 2014, illustrates the commitment of theChâteau du Seuilfor sustainable and responsible viticulture.

Within the vineyard, traditional Provençal grape varieties take center stage: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre for the reds and rosés; Rolle, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sémillon for the whites. This diversity allows for the creation of varied cuvées, all characterized by great freshness and beautiful fruit expression. The vineyard, perfectly integrated into its natural environment, reflects the estate's commitment to preserving the authenticity of its terroir while resolutely looking to the future.

              From winemaking to aging

              The constant pursuit of excellence

AtChâteau du SeuilWinemaking is conceived as a precision art. Modern facilities allow for gravity-flow winemaking, limiting mechanical intervention to preserve the integrity of the grapes. Each plot is vinified separately to best respect its identity and optimize the expression of the terroir.

Fermentation takes place under temperature control to promote gentle extraction and preserve aromatic freshness. For the reds, long maceration periods are used, giving the wines depth and structure. The whites and rosés, on the other hand, are crafted with great attention to fruit purity and balance on the palate.

Aging is a key moment in the estate's pursuit of excellence. Depending on the vintage, it may take place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit's vibrancy or in French oak barrels to add complexity and roundness. The barrels are carefully selected to impart a subtle oak influence without ever masking the wine's natural expression.

The wines ofChâteau du SeuilThese wines are thus recognized for their precise and elegant style. The reds offer a beautiful aromatic concentration with notes of black fruit, sweet spices, and garrigue, while the whites are distinguished by their freshness, floral finesse, and minerality. As for the rosés, true ambassadors of Provence, they seduce with their lusciousness, balance, and great drinkability. In short, each cuvée expresses the soul of the Provençal terroir with sincerity and refinement.
