A Privileged Terroir
THE domaine extends over approximately 8 hectares, mainly distributed across the communes of Meursault and Monthélie, with incursions into Auxey-Duresses And Puligny-Montrachet.
-
Diversity of names: THE domaine produces both white wines (Chardonnay) and red wines (Pinot Noir).
-
Notable plots: It includes prestigious appellations such as the Meursault "Les Vireuils", THE Meursault 1er Cru "The Charms" or even Monthélie 1er Cru.
Philosophy of Culture and Winemaking
THE Domaine Dujardin stands out for its very close-to-the-land approach, prioritizing quality over quantity.
-
Integrated pest management: THE domaine applies environmentally friendly cultivation methods, limiting the use of chemicals to allow the purity of the fruit to express itself.
-
Traditional farming: The winemaking process takes place in oak barrels (with a moderate proportion of new barrels) to preserve the minerality of the whites and the finesse of the reds without masking the character of the vintage.
-
Hand-harvested grapes: A rigorous sorting process is carried out to retain only the best berries.
Wine Profile
The wines of domaine are known for their balance and their elegance :
-
The Whites: Typical of Meursault, they often offer buttery and nutty notes, while retaining a saline tension and a beautiful acidic freshness.
-
The Reds: Particularly in Monthélie and Auxey-Duresses, They are characterized by aromas of small red fruits, a supple structure and great drinkability.
Note: It's a domaine "Human-sized" which appeals to enthusiasts looking for authentic wines, often more accessible than the large trading houses, while offering remarkable technical precision.
