They chose the name \"Pégau\", which refers to a terracotta jug used for wine in the Middle Ages (found during excavations in the Palace of the Popes).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eToday, Laurence manages the domaine (now accompanied by her children), perpetuating the inimitable style instilled by her father.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eTerroir and Philosophy in the Vineyard\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTHE domaine extends over approximately 21 hectares within the appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape (plus other hectares in Côtes-du-Rhône), divided into 11 different parcels. These include some of the appellation's greatest terroirs, notably the legendary plateau of \u003cb\u003eLa Crau\u003c\/b\u003erich in rolled pebbles and red clays.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eRespect for the 13 grape varieties:\u003c\/b\u003e Le Pégau is a fervent defender of the tradition of multiple blends.
