Grand Cru Champagne

The Champagne Grand Cru appellation means that all the grapes come from villages classified as Grand Cru . There are 17 such villages, all located in the Marne department. The majority are in the Montagne de Reims vineyard : Tours-sur-Marne, Louvois, Beaumont-sur-Vesle, Mailly, Verzenay, Bouzy, Sillery, Ambonnay, Verzy, and Puisieulx. South and north of Épernay, the other classified villages are Cramant, Chouilly, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize, Oiry, and Aÿ.

Grand Cru Champagnes are often more powerful and complex than other sparkling wines from the region.

Voirin-Jumel

Gilles Voirin married Françoise Jumel in 1968. They combined their vineyards, located in Grand Cru vineyards in Chouilly and Cramant, to found Champagne Gilles Voirin . In 1982, as is often the case in Champagne , they chose to combine their names for their wine: Champagne Voirin-Jumel was born. Today, their children, Patrick and Alice, run the estate and also offer bed and breakfast accommodations.

Voirin-Jumel produces a variety of Champagnes , as well as a Ratafia.

In Champagne Grand Cru , this house offers a Blanc de Blancs and a Blanc de Blancs Brut Zéro.

JM Labruyère

The Labruyère family has been cultivating vines in Beaujolais since 1850, in Romanèche-Thorins . Their wine estate has expanded to include Domaine Jacques Prieur in Burgundy , Château Rouget in Pomerol, and, more recently, the purchase of vineyards in Verzenay. The Champagnes they produce are therefore exclusively Grand Cru Champagnes .

As a mark of quality, they have been selected for the menus of top restaurants. Examples include Alain Ducasse's Plaza Athénée in Paris and The French Laundry in California, a three-Michelin-starred establishment.
