        Character and know-how

The Puy Castlepracticeorganic and biodynamic agricultureFor several years now, the estate has completely excluded pesticides and chemical fertilizers. The family practices a vine-growing method similar to that used by their grandparents. During the harvest, the château takes special care with the grape bunches, ensuring they are not crushed before reaching the winery. After fermentation, the wine is racked. It is then transferred to large oak casks and barrels, allowing the aging process to begin. All work in the cellar is carried out according to the lunar calendar. For approximately two years, the wine matures. It is tasted weekly by the team at the...Château le Puyto best monitor its aging process. The wine is then bottled without any filtration. At this stage, every precaution is taken. The bottle corks are always protected with a wax coating. Yeast inoculation and chaptalization are not carried out.
