Château Pape Clément 2009: Robert Parker loves it!

THE Château Pape Clément, owned by Bernard Magrez, is one of the rising stars of the appellation Pessac Léognan. We are following Robert Parker's ratings with particular interest.
Since the 2000 vintage, all the scores awarded by Robert Parker have been excellent, even extraordinary for the 2009 white and the 2010 red with their 100/100This has greatly influenced the reputation of this château in France as well as internationally.
Moreover, in more classic vintages, this château does very well with a 96 for 2011, 92-95 for 2012 and 89-92 for 2013 in red. A slightly lower score in 2013, admittedly, but a very relevant pricing strategyA choice that other castles haven't necessarily made!

On the white side, the 2013 vintage tops Robert Parker's ranking with a very impressive 94-96.

Pape Clément : excellent 2009 vintage

During a recent tasting hosted by Robert Parker in Shanghai, he compared two exceptional vintages: 2000 and 2009. Château Pape Clément 2009 was Rated: 98/100 !
This tasting was organized under less than optimal conditions (in the company of other tasters, accompanied by certainly delicious food), so this score will not replace the 95 previously obtained but clearly demonstrates the exceptional quality of this wine.

The conclusion of this tasting is, moreover, unequivocal:

If you can find 2009 vintages stored in optimal conditions, these wines are a real pleasure to taste. buy as many as you can.
